Welcome Back!

Welcome back! We hope you had a relaxing and productive Summer. We have a few changes in the Library to share with you:

  1. Please note that we will resume normal hours after Labor Day, starting Tuesday 09/02/2014:
  2. Monday-Thursday: 8am to 10pm

    Friday: 8am to 5pm

    Saturday: 8:30am to 4:30pm

  3. Starting this semester you will need to sign/date an AV checkout form each time you borrow laptops, projectors, or smartcarts. We will have these checkout forms at the circulation desk, so you can read, sign, and date while we get your equipment ready.
  4. Stylesight recently merged with Worth Global Style Network and is now called WGSN. Your login information has stayed the same, but their website has been redesigned to provide a customizable homepage, enhanced catwalk content, a suite of design tools, 63,000 prints and graphics, 75,000 usable CAD drawings.To access WGSN you must first register on campus. Follow the link, select “First Time Users” and create an account using your Moore email. If you already have your login information, simply click on “Login” at the top right. Please be aware that you must “reactivate” your account every 90 days from an on-campus computer, many of you will have to do this as you return from summer break. To do this, select “Returning Users” and enter your login credentials.
  5. WGSN Launch

Happy Holidays and Winter Break Hours

Congrats on the end of the semester! Please note our winter break hours:

  • The Library will be closed from December 20 at 5pm until January 6 at 9am.
  • When we re-open, from January 6 – 21 our hours will be Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm.
  • We will be closed Monday, January 20 for the Martin Luther King Holiday.
  • Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, January 21, 2013 at 8am.
  • Last but not least, please remember to return all library material before you leave!

Enjoy Thanksgiving Break

The end of the semester is quickly approaching! If you are planning to do get some work done over Thanksgiving Break, make sure that you know how to access the Library’s electronic resources from home. Visit the Library’s Moodle page for login information and directions (if you haven’t already, you will need to “enroll” to enter our Moodle page).

A few reminders:

  • JSTOR, ARTSTOR, RHIZOME, and Stylesight require you to register for off-campus access. Please visit the Library’s Moodle page for directions.
  • In addition, JSTOR, ARTSTOR, and Stylesight require you to re-activate your account every three months. For instance, if you registered for Stylesight at the beginning of this semester, you will have to re-activate soon. You can do this from the login page, but you must use an on-campus computer. Be sure to do this before you leave for Winter Break!
  • Please note that Connelly Library will close Wednesday November 27 at 5pm, and re-open on Monday December 2 at 8am.

Welcome back! We hope you had a relaxing and/or productive Summer. We have a few changes in the Library to share with you:

Please note that our hours have changed. Our new hours are:

  • Monday-Thursday: 8am to 10pm
  • Friday: 8am to 5pm
  • Saturday: 8:30 to 4:30

In addition, we have a new Electronic Resource to share with you! Stylesight is the industry-leading global content and technology solution for students and professionals in the style, fashion and design industries. The site provides forecasting and trend analysis along with a large selection of images, proprietary and curated content, and cutting-edge web tools to search, store, build and share.

To access Stylesight you must first register on campus. Follow the link, select “First Time Users” and create an account using your Moore email. If you already have your login information, simply click on “Login” at the top right. If you need help, ask for assistance at the circulation desk, 215-965-4054 or library@moore.edu.

Please be aware:

  • There are 150 licenses for Stylesight, which means that only 150 patrons can be logged-in concurrently. As a courtesy to others, log-out when you are not using the site.
  • Your account must be reactivated every 90 days. To do this, follow the same link above and select “Reactivate Account.”
  • If you want an introduction on how to use Stylesight, be sure to see their Live Training Video Tutorials (please note, you must register first to view).

Summer Hours

The Library’s Summer Hours will go into effect Monday, May 20th:

Monday-Thursday: 8am – 8pm
Friday: 8am – 5pm
Saturday: 8:30am – 5pm
Sunday: 11am – 7:00pm

Next week the library will be closed on Friday May 24 and Monday May 27 for the Memorial Day holiday. Enjoy the summer — we look forward to seeing you again in the fall!

Enjoy Winter Break!

Congratulations on a successful semester!

The library wishes you a safe and happy holiday and New Year. Below are our winter break hours:

  • The Library will be CLOSED December 18 at 5pm to January 2 at 9am.
  • We will re-open January 2 -18: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • We will be closed Monday, January 21 for the MLK Holiday.
  • Regular hours will  resume on Tuesday, January 22, 2013.

Summertime

The Library would like congratulate all students on another successful semester and especially seniors on an excellent senior show. It has been a pleasure working with you this semester.

  • Please note that all library materials are due Friday May 4th for students, and Friday, May 11th for faculty.
  • Alumna are granted library access, so we encourage all graduating seniors to take advantage of the collection.

Spring Break is on the horizon and the library wishes you a safe and relaxing week!

If you are planning to do research over Spring Break, be sure to verify that you have access to the library’s Electronic Resources before you leave campus. ARTstor, an image library that provides access to over one million high quality images, and JSTOR, a trusted digital archive for full-text scholarly journals and citations, are only accessible outside of the library with a personal account. To set up an account, use any of the library’s computers to visit the database’s homepage, and register using your Moore College email address.

The remainder of the library’s databases are accessible off-campus with a universal username and password. This information is available in the library and on our “Electronic Resources” brochures. If you have any questions regarding access please ask us at the Circulation Desk!

Connelly Library will maintain its normal hours of operation during Spring Break.

Research Tips for Spring Break

Spring Break is rapidly approaching and the library wishes you a restful or productive week, whichever is needed!

To set up a personal account, use any of the library’s computers to visit the database’s homepage, and sign up for an account using your Moore email address.

If you have any questions regarding the library’s resources or your research in general, don’t hesitate to ask a staff member.
