Additional Judy Chicago works in ARTstor

Judy Chicago, The Dinner Party (overview), 1974-79

ARTstor, your source for high quality art and architecture images, has added nearly 400 works by Judy Chicago. Chicago, an author, artist, educator, and icon of feminist art, has been creating politically-charged works since the 1970’s. As one of the most prolific and challenging artists of our time, this Judy Chicago collection is an invaluable source for study and research.

For more information see ARTstor’s Judy Chicago collection page and an exclusive ARTstor interview, “Ten Questions for Judy Chicago.” While you’re there, don’t forget to friend ARTstor on Facebook to receive news, tips, and more.

Some date back as far as the mid-1800s through present day. The artists are largely alumni or faculty of Moore College. The selections you see above are ca. 1920, painted by members of the Philadelphia 10, a prominent group of woman artists who worked and exhibited together regularly. #artschool #librariesofinstagram #philadelphia #womenartists #oilpaintings
