Join acclaimed author Sherman Alexie and Gary Kramer of Temple University for a screening of The Business of Fancydancing, a film that explores the tension between Seymour and Aristotle, two men who grew up together on the Spokane Reservation. Seymour’s internal conflict between his Indian heritage and his life as an urban gay man and popular Native poet plays out in multiple cultures and relationships over his college and early adult years.
The screening and discussion takes place March 17th at 6pm in Stewart Auditorium, and is free for all to attend! This event is presented in conjunction with the Free Library of Philadelphia and their One Book, One Philadelphia program. For more information, see the Free Library’s Author Events page.
